Dometic refrigerator fuse issues

Nothing too exciting or sexy about this problem. The fridge in our 25' International Serenity (FBT) has blown the glass fuse (twice) on the electric panel reached through the exterior hatch. The fuse apparently is protecting the heater element.
Dometic: RM 3762 or RM 3962 is the fridge model as indicated by the manual that came with our 2019 trailer (purchased in 2021).
The good folks at the nearby Airstream repair shop have replaced the fuse both times and say the panel will be next. They also estimated a new Dometic would set us back 2k, an expense I would clearly prefer to avoid.
Your thoughts and expertise would be appreciated.
BTW, I've been told these glass tube fuses (5 amp?) are very hard to get and are very expensive so if you know of a source, I would appreciate that too.

Many people use dinosaur boards and say they are better then OEM.
You can get fuses from Amazon.

I needed a board for my RM3962 and contacted Dinosaur, and they told me that they do not make a board for either the RM 3762 or the RM3962. Only place to get one is Dometic. Last time I checked they were over $400, so I have been running my fridge on propane. I talked to Dometic last fall and they had no boards in stock and didn't know when they would have them.

As usual I received very helpful responses. I now have a source for fuses and a workaround. Thank you.

Can this fuse be used also?

This is a slow blow fuse as opposed to a fast blow fuse. It's 30 amp vs 5v.

He said his fridge fuse is 5 amp switching to a 30 amp could be dangerous.

They put a 5 amp fuse in for a reason!! That is what is required!! A 30 amp is asking for a disaster!! Ask any electrician!!

If the fuse is protecting the heater element and keeps blowing, then perhaps your heater element is what's bad.

Test the heater element and then inspect the power circuit leading to/from to make sure you don't have a short.

Thanks for the post which has spurred another question. Does anyone have a good link for the small, 30A, pointed blade fuse that goes into the back of the Dometic Gas/Electric refrigerators? My model number is DM2672RB. Thanks in advance.

Thanks to Wazbro I found the 5 amp fuses on Amazon. Turns out coincidentally my Airstream shop nearby is now doing the same. So, I recommend you start there.
