Dometic fridge slow to ignite on propane
Ok, 2021 International that has been in storage, indoors for 2 mos. or so, is slow to ignite the propane on switch-over from shore power.
I hear that's common, but I'm curious if anyone has had the issue and discovered a fix.
Thanks in advance for the tips!

If you haven't done so, run your gas stove, fire up all the burners, and run the gas water heater too, after that, see how the fridge works.

So the fridge attempts to start but fails multiple times, or there is a long delay before it begins the start attempt? If it is trying to start but fails, check/clean/tighten all the little spade connectors, clean the flame sensor rod with a Scotch Brite pad and make sure it is in the flame and clean the flue and burner area. Sometimes it may be necessary to remove the orifice and soak in alcohol. Not recommended to use compressed air on the orifice and definitely not recommended to poke anything into the hole.

If I forget to prime the lines, I typically shut the fridge off, prime the lines and try again, I don't wait for it to try a second time because I know that it will have trouble, take forever or fail completely.
I do the stove mostly. I have rarely fired up the water heater, but really either will do, but know that with the on demand water heater (most likely installed on your 21), you will need actual water to be flowing to get that puppy running.

Clean the flu
Clean the soot out of the large cylinder on the back of the fridge. Usually tap it a couple of times solves the problem for me. Usually 12 to 24 months.

Thanks to all for the great tips. I feel like this will help solve the problem, since when it comes on there's never another problem.

This here year removed both the hw and fridge ignition tubs and cleaned them. Now the fridge comes to life right away. The HW still takes a bit, but after it runs it always works again until the next time it sits for a while. Last year both fridge and HW were a real pain to get going.

First run the gas stove burners to help purge the gas line.
Then turn on the gas water heater to further purge the gas line.
Then I loosen the flame cover off the burner from the fridge, start the fridge up and with a gas lighter heat the thermostat where the igniter is and the gas should start to flow, there is a thermcouple much like the oven pilot light, it needs to be warm to stay open - once the gas flame holds on its own you can tighten the cover screw and good to go.

Even after purging the fridge and HW didn't work. I always start with the stove as well. But it's on the other side of the trailer and uses a different line. The furnace has never failed to start either. But again on the other side. The fridge and HW are the only thing on the one side. But it's not that the HW doesn't fire up, it fires up and cuts out 2 seconds later. And repeats that twice before triggering the failure light. Then after reset it may work or sometimes it takes 2 or 3 resets and then it works fine. But definitely the fridge works great now after cleaning. Not sure what is causing the issue with the HW tank, since eventually it all works and continues to work until the trailer sits idle for a while.
