Domestic temp adjustment?

We have a newer, two-way fridge with no obvious temp adjustment. It does have a plastic clip connected to a wire lead. The clip is attached to one of the cooling fins inside the fridge. This clip is moveable and will slide up or down on the fin or perhaps can be moved to a different fin. Anybody know if this will adjust the temp and if so, what direction should it be moved for cooler or warmer?

Move it up to get colder, down to get warmer. You can move it to different fin, but I would try sliding it up or down on the current fin.
