Absorption refrigerator problem

My refrigerator is working fine on gas however I wanted to run it on electric. The unit is behaving like it’s trying to light the propane. I can hear clicking over several 45 second intervals and then the refrigerator displays ‘check’ and is lit.

Absorption refrigerator problem

I think I solved my problem, I checked the breakers and the refrigerator breaker was in the off position. I had some work done and the tech probably turned it off and never turned it back on. Only confusion is that there must be two sources of electric for the refrigerator, one for the display and a second for the operation of the other components? Anyone know how this operates?

The electronics operate on 12VDC. When on gas, it heats with gas, when on AC, it heats with 120VAC (I know, stating the obvious...).
