2018 19CB fridge comes unsecured.

Has anyone else had trouble with their 2018'ish 19 CB fridge coming loose?

This is the second time the top of the fridge has come loose from the cabinet and begins to pivot forward into the trailer.

Also the fridge panel held in place by the plastic ends has failed and the panel on the Dometic fridge has fallen/slid down onto the floor.

Itís not uncommon, I eventually put screws on the rails and high strength double sided tape on the panel. I posted pictures and details. Not sure how to reference the prior post.

Dealer charged me half hour to fix the fridge mounts.

I'm pretty disappointing it is not a warranty fix.

Not sure what I can do it not have it happen every time I go to Colorado.

My fridge keeps coming unsecured at the top.

Anyone else have this problem and found a solution?

We have had issues with the front panel coming loose but the refrigerator on our 19CB seems solidly mounted. Of course we have not taken her to Colorado.

We went to Montana this year. And after 3400 miles, it's broke free again at the top. It's the third time they have secured it. And the last time I assume because now its not under warranty.

I'm trying to come up with a permanent fix but I'm not sure what my options are under there behind the cabinet.

Thought about trying to mount some aluminum strips to it somehow but, its all wood cabinets.........

I looked in there today and I think the solution, since Im gonna have to pay someone 85hr to do it is to drill 2-4 extra holes in the top and on the side and screw it down with more screws into the wood frame.

Pre drill and screw in with a screwdriver with some decent size/thickness wood screws should hold it I'm thinking, vs the TWO they have in there from the factory. Spread out the load.

Your refrigerator is a newer model but is likely screwed to the bottom of the compartment as in our 2002 19'. Those screws are substantial. Despite that, the top of our refrigerator occasionally rotates out during towing.

Larger screws in the upper corners help. The good part is that, despite the upper screws coming loose, the refrigerator is not going to come fully unmounted because of the substantial hold by the screws for the base. I suspect part of the "problem" is that the cabinet surrounding the refrigerator flexes more than the refrigerator while the trailer is being towed.

Yeah its got a screw in each corner. Top and bottom. I was never worried it would fall out. I was worried about the propane gas vapor coming into the trailer and the moisture and heat and the big huge gap that appeared at the top. The bottom never came loose. It's always been the top that started to fall inward.

A few extra screws might just do the trick and something a bit wider. They keep using narrow sheet metal style screws in the same place and it really needs more screws than that.

The bottom screws holding the stove do the same thing.

I put 5 extra screws in the flange at the top. It came out pretty nice and is not noticeable. I hope it holds up.

If anyone wants to see it, PM me and I'll send you a link so I dont " violate the rules " here.

The replies are appreciated.
