Born On Date

Can anyone tell me if Airstream can give an exact born on date if I provide the VIN? My 72 Safari will be having a milestone birthday in a couple of years. Interestingly a close friend also purchased a 72 Safari a couple of years ago with a Vin number very close to mine. Was thinking of taking the two old girls for a road trip to celebrate the occasion.

A friend and I had the same question about our '66 Safaris a few years ago, and we weren't able to find anything. I'm still interested if anyone out there has the answer.

Is there a "manufacture's plate"; i.e. inside the door jamb, etc. that maybe would have at least the month of manufacture on it?

I’ll have to check the door for a manufacturer plate but won’t be able to get that information until after the holiday. Will get back to y’all when I know more.
