Beverage center

The space above our refrigerator/counter had a poorly made plywood shelf when we got her, and it was a very dark space.

The answer?... a lighted shelf.

It's a piece of 3/8" acrylic that I frosted with a DA sander and trimmed with an extrusion trim, from a previous camper, with an LED strip light in between. The power comes from the 12 V outlet box in the back corner.

Clever, and nicely done. Frosting the acrylic is a nice touch.

Light travels through acrylic like glass, in one direction, so the edges glow but not the face. If you scratch(etch) or sand it, it releases the light out the surface.

It worked out really well, washes top and bottom with light. thanks
