My husband and I just bought a 72 Safari for a mobile bar conversion. It's completely gutted with the interior skins removed. Tires are new and we've been assured it's towable (although I guess we'll find out on Wednesday!)
We have a pro lined up to cut the large service window, but we were planning to do the rest of the work ourselves. My husband has worked in bars for 15+ years and his dad and cousin (who is a GC) are both handy, but none of them have worked on a trailer before. Basically I'm wondering if there is anything else that you think we should have the pro do for us, as opposed to attempting ourselves. We obviously don't want to pay for work that we can do ourselves, but we also don't want to get in over our heads with this project or, worse - damage the trailer in any way.
Anything else you can think of that we should have done professionally would be a big help, plus just general advice is welcome!
