So, on my way home from Bryce Canyon I stopped at the river to partake in one of my other hobbies (looking for gold). Now I didn't find much, a few very small pieces. But I did find two small clear crystals about an 1/8 and 1/16 in diameter. So they were one of two things. Glass or diamonds. They were down about 8" from the surface behind a rock. So I finally took them to a jeweler to have them looked at. Well it turned out they were diamonds. I think I might have to head back to that spot someday. Now I just have to save up to get them cut for my wife.

Tomorrow is Angels landing (not all the way up) but to the saddle. And then if we have the energy the river walk trail trail. Friday we leave, but I think we may head up to Brice Canyon and stay at one of the RV park for one night...

It's funny, the park doesn't seem very crowed this year. We have been coming the third week in October for 5 years and this has to be the least crowed it has ever been Better for us, great weather... and having a great time..
Hi, we went there a few years ago. We saw the two mud puddles when we were there. I wouldn't go to the third mud puddle because the path was described as 3' wide, two way, soft sand, slippery, 600' drop off on one side, and 900' drop off on the other side. Other than my fear of heights, we loved the place.

How cool, and what a memento!

You may start a diamond rush.
