Just left Montana in a snow storm headed down to St George, Hurricane and Zion Utah. Situation is spectacular. We just soaked at a BLM public hot spring outside Salmon ID. We then drove a few miles down the road to a campground we know and are the only ones here. It's windy tonight with gusts to 25 and temps in the 30's later. We are tucked in behind some willows as a wind block. You can't feel the wind so that's nice. I've camped in this area before during high winds and the wind was hitting my airstream broadside. Buffeting the trailer with gusts in the 40's.
Plan tomorrow is breakfast, dog walk and then we head to Antelope Island in the great salt lake. Just outside of Salt Lake City. I camped at Antelope when I purchased my airstream as it was only 1/2 hour from Airstream of Utah. I've been back every year.
I'll update this thread as the trip unfolds. I'm stoked with my new heated battleborn and my backup renogy lifepo4 batteries. Camper is warm and the beer is cold.
Super top secret hot springs steps from the airstream.
