where the heck do you go for an extended length of time (> 1 yr) in/near Miami?
so far all the places I can find are just "place with a bunch of double-wides" rather than "places to put an actual RV." anyone had good experiences somewhere?
You gotta just start calling and checking availability. You can usually get in pretty easy for summer. It’s the winters that book out a year in advance. There usually aren’t any options in major cities for RVs but if you look further out you will find some. Without knowing how far out you want to go, it’s hard to make a recommendation.
There is a airstream park in Melbourne, Florida if you’re old enough to get in. I believe they are +55 and older. They wouldn’t let my wife and I in for a weekend because we aren’t there yet

I have heard from someone on this forum that they like to check out RV parks using the satellite photos from google maps. This could give you an idea of what kind of trailers/mobile homes are at the place.

Miami-Dade County is really short on RV parks, especially for long term. Look for John and Penny Thompson County Park. Everglades RV Resort is a commercial outfit, former KOA and not cheap but may have long-term deals.
Just a tough place to live in an RV long term
