We're staying home with our Interstate, but we have a big party on Sunday. We've got 4 camping spaces with water/electric and 2 with sewer and there are 2 campers here for our weekend event in the Poconos of PA. I've got the pool temp to 85 so the kids will have a ball. About 30-35 people will attend so lots of food varieties on Sunday too.

Hi, we don't do Holidays unless it gets in the middle of our trip like our 50 day trip to Alaska. As mentioned by others, we are also retired and choose not to go with the crowds. But you-all working people have a great time.

I agree. I was nervous after hearing the horror stories, but we went ahead. We had almost no traffic and the state park is quiet and low key. I am not happy with our site, but other than that, it has been a nice weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend at Virginia Highland Haven
At the Southeastern Camping Unit Rally at Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park. Highland Haven is one of our favorite camping destinations and is a terrific spot for a rally. Bluegrass music in nearby Floyd, Virginia, southern cooking at the Pine Tavern, hiking the park trails to the waterfall, and spectacular sunsets almost every night have been highlights of the weekend. Highland Haven is a great stopover or destination for anyone traveling the I77/I81 corridors or vacationing in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia.
