When things break

So here we are at a campground in OK. Don goes outside and comes back in and tells me there is a leak under the fresh water tank. we look under the trailer and he thinks he knows where the leak is. He is correct. The leak is the pump fitting on the pressure side. (I think that's what he said)
The campground is next door to an RV dealer so he just went to see if they had a new fitting. So much for an early start. Life is an adventure.

When we took Henri, our '74 Sov, on his inaugural run to visit relatives in Florida, we stopped in the Florida Panhandle for a week to relax on the beach.

After having set up Henri, we discovered a pool of water on the bathroom floor.

Luckily, it was from the water heater, not the toilet. I bought a new 10-gallon one at Camping World on sale, and we had it put in at Jackson Centre on the way home.

Annoying, but that was the only problem that Henri presented us with in the entire 4,000 mile trip, so I didn't feel too bad.

My husband pulled the access panel off the fresh water tank to let things dry out and look what we found:

Aage, our first AS was a 1977 Sov. We learned how to fix many things with it.

This is one of the reasons I love WBCCI. There is always someone around that has had our problem - whatever it might be - before!

Debbie, there isn't much we haven't done since that water heater.

I replaced the furnace, the converter, the refer, the cartridge in the galley sink (now THAT was a tough one!), a small piece of copper pipe (which meant pulling the tub out), the toilet (twice) and so on and so forth.

You know the song.
