Just too damn much!

Gas is now well over the $4/gal mark for 87 octane. 93 octane is a minimun of 4.25 and diesel is at 4.64

This is something the various RV clubs (WBCCI, FMCA, BBird, etc.) leadership could get around and present to their represenatives in congress on behalf of their membership. Am sure there are some significant numbers when all taken together... louder voice.

As in WBCCI, more useful to the membership vs. allowing SOB MH in or designating a certain dress code, IMHO.

Right now reg. unleaded is $3.45 in Frisco, but we play this game where fuel prices are very competitive with Denver during the off season times like we're in now. As soon as the summer season, or ski season begins we're suddenly 30 cents per gallon more. I'd expect a 50-60 cent per gallon jump in my area within the next few weeks as camping season starts. The fun of living in a tourist area.

$3.75 for regular, here on the East Coast of Florida.

I'm really looking forward to our trip to Bozeman next month.

It's already 30¢ more in this western Colorado county—there must be a lost tourist around somewhere. If I find him, I'll give him directions to Frisco.

Come to think of it, I'll be driving through Frisco on Saturday—which exit do I get off on and where's that gas station?

I guess I jinxed myself, the same station today is $3.75, count on $4.00 by June 1st. This station is just off the interstate exit in Frisco. Now the lowest price fuel in the county is $3.61 at the Foodmart in Silverthorne, the worst is $3.98 at Shell in Silverthorne. I was in Denver today and paid $3.60.

I think i got you beat Charlie, gas was 3.23 today at the gas station at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, but it was last seasons gas and it was full service too, lol. I haven't seen that for quite a while. The old pumps they have up there only go up to 3.99 a gallon, so they weren't pumping diesel and probably won't pump gas when they get rid of the 7000 gallons they had left. That's what i was told anyway.

I feel your pain everyone, but it could be worse, you could be buying gas here in NZ. At the moment we are paying NZ$ 1.82 per liter super, and climbing, at todays rates I think that equates to US$ 6.48 a gallon!! My dream of owning a V8 is fading rapidly. At least our diesel is somewhat cheaper.

What is the top line price?

Gasoline and Diesel could hit 6 dollars very easy.China is a very thirsty Tiger.

Just paid 5.15 for diesel in Skagway, AK this afternoon. If it keeps going up I may just have to live here and forget about going home.

Yes, gas is about $5.00/gal, so I figure maybe I should collect more A/S's and park them strategically around North America, then drive my very low mileage car - or start busing to them. I think it will be cheaper and I'll still see everything.

When's It Gonna Stop????

Yesterday...

$4.05 for hightest!!!!

$4.70 for diesel!!!

Probably more today.

Later week between when I went to work and came home diesel jumped $0.10!!!

I don't really pay much attention to regular gas because my I drive a VW Jetta TDI and the TV is a GMC 6.6L Turbo Diesel. My wife drives the gasssers in the family. Plus it is still too cold here in PA to drive the motorcycle to work. Temperatuers in the mornings are still in the low 40s.

What I want to know is when is this going to peak and settle down. It was pathetic that I was actually happy when diesel was at $4.45 for an ENTIRE week!!!

What I've read is that the price will settle down when our habits change. Also, at $100/bbl is about the break-even for pursuing alternatives (not just bio, but solar, wind, etc).

Oh yeah, we're around 3.88 for regular.
Yesterday we took the Shedlets downtown to a library thing. We used the bus, which cost us a buck round trip, and spent what we saved in gas at DQ. Figured that would help illustrate the cost

We're traveling cross country on I 70. Kansas and Missouri reg. ranges from $3.599 to low $3.60's. $3.799 in Illinois. We filled up just before St. Louis knowing Ill. and Indiana have higher prices and hope to make it to Ohio where prices are a little lower. Fill up again in Pa. before we get to NY and Conn. which also have higher prices. Thanks to the NY Times for an article a couple of weeks ago showing higher and lower priced states and all the state gas taxes.

We're not seeing many RV's on the road and the 18 wheelers are driving slower than I've ever seen to save fuel. The truckers are really hurting and I can't see how the independents are making any money. And we think we have something to complain about—it's the independent drivers livelihood on the line.

Otherwise, there's still lots of traffic and people seem to be driving anyway. We keep wondering if this is our last long road trip.
