I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering this. I'll ask Jiffy Lube why the prices are still up. Ups rose their rates last Saturday because...? Gas war in Michigan, regular down to .47c for a few hrs.

Becuase prices across the market don't change that fast. In one sector they can, but it takes time to distribute across others.

Ditto. I bought a quart of oil for the F250 this weekend. $4.19 for one quart, and that hasn't changed in years, well, at least more that few cents. $16 a gallon for engine oil when gas is a a buck fifty? What the what?

Just sayin',

Jim

Our company isn't reducing prices, either...
The reduced fuel cost has allowed us to purchase 30 trucks!
Retire some of the aging fleet-
Would have never happened at higher fuel price-

Certainly a boost to the economy-
And have you noticed an increase in the number of RV's on the road?
Campers all day every day on the highways-
Seems like 1 in 4 vehicles is a camper some days on I-55.

Gas prices

Welcome to California, the "GOLDEN STATE".

Mobil regular gas is $ 2.99 per gallon January 24, 2016.

Gotta have gold to buy the stuff.

There are however a few, very few that is, that have regular posted at $ 2.53.

Fill up before you enter California.

And now the state is griping that it's very hard to fix the highways because their income from gasoline taxes is way down because of the better mileage vehicles get today.

In view of that, they are kicking around a annual tax on the number of miles each vehicle travels in a year.

Hail something, but it isn't MARY.

Andy

Down to low to mid $1.60's in Grand Junction. Gas on the wholesale market was $1.11 Friday, up from just over a dollar a few days before. This would be a great time to increase the gas tax so our highways and bridges aren't falling apart. I know that's not going to happen, but I wonder how much damage our trailers and other vehicles experience on our roads. We pay one way or another.

Hi, as far as I'm concerned the States already got the money to fix the roads, but that money switched pockets. And now that we have low gas prices they want to add another tax to cover what the existing tax was supposed to pay for. They tell us it won't be very much because it will be a small percentage, but as the gas price rises, so does the amount of the new tax.

Diesel prices... and fuel treatment

In Dearborn, Michigan, last Wednesday, I filled up for $1.899/gal, plus adding about $5.00 of fuel anti-gel treatment to 40+ gallons. Same price in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina a couple days ago, plus, once again anti-gel.

And, if one is traveling to areas where the ambient temp drops down to much below freezing, treating the diesel is critical. It get so thick the engine does not start and also if running motor oil 15/40W, the batteries will not turn it over for more than maybe 20 seconds.

We bought regular gas in Marianna, Florida yesterday. It was $1.61 at the Pilot Station with the 3 cent discount with the Flying J/Pilot RV card.
