$3.09 in Santa Fe. Was $3.20 in Grand Junction early in the week.

This thread only pops up when prices rise, but they have been falling. Must have something to do with winter.

$2.98/ regular, $3.30 premium at the HEB in Rockport, TX. I believe a Valero station had regular for $2.96 yesterday, $2.97 today.

Hi, the gas prices are going up again; $3.83 to $3.97 for Premium. Must be because we don't really have a winter here.

Filled the diesel tank in the car here in Birmingham, UK and it worked out to about $8.00 per gallon. Gasoline (95 octane) was about $6.46 per gallon.

Bob, you'd better get to Oregon fast. I think it runs at least 20¢ less there. It went down a penny in Santa Fe yesterday.

Regular went up 9¢ overnight in Santa Fe. Must be better gas than yesterday.

I wanted to fill up the day before yesterday, but my wife said "no, do it later". How shall I punish her? Maybe I'll eat all the cookies.

Hi, just to add to the confusion, the Shell station who had Premium
for $3.97 went up 2 cents to $3.99, and the Union 76 who was $3.83 went down 2 cents to $3.81 per gallon.

Reg $3.23 / Diesel $3.85

Diesel continues to hover around $0.50/gal more. It is a hard sell for diesel right now.

Consider that an F150 gets 21mpg hwy. not towing, and a VW sportwagen 39mpg@70mph avg. (owned both) In 10,000 miles that is about $550 difference- and there is nearly twice the difference in mpg between these two. Between and F150 and 250 diesel the tow vehicle mpg difference is slight plus the F250 diesel costs $8400 more than the F250 gas model. With a 2-3 mpg or so difference in towing it will take a LONG time to break even.

West Texas Intermediate was at $100 today and so we can expect rising prices. WTI was in the low 90's just a month ago.

I just thought this was interesting regarding fuel prices. We recently drove to Nashville TN and back from Berlin MD and I was amazed at the fluctuation in regular gas but not diesel. Going to Nashville we were on Interstates 95, 81 and 40. The most expensive for regular was about 3.49. The cheapest was on interstate 40 at 3.09 Diesel on the other hansd stayed around 3.99 to 4.09.
n the way back we took 40 to 58 to Rt 13. Regular was any where from 3.23 to 3.39 then to 3.47/3.49. But again diesel was relatively stable at around 4.00

Right now, diesel here in Burlington Ontario, near Toronto, converts to about $5.65 US per US gallon!

At present that is cheaper than gasoline (for a change!) - about $0.14 US / US gallon cheaper than the lowest octane rating gas.
