same Chevron, no special location to warrant premium pricing, just 4 hours apart.....I couldn't even bear to look up the sign at regular gas pricing, I didn't want to know, my tank was still full from yesterdays beating.

We are lucky are other car is a Prius, only problem is that we can't find a hitch for it.

Time, you must feel a little better that you now have a Hemi rather than the Powerstroke!

You're right, we'll prioritize and hopefully, say something about it, too. But suck it up and just say "yessa boss"? If I can't change something, it's not because I didn't try.
Jaxon,
Let us know how that goes for you.

If gas doesn't go below $2/gal. in Central, CA., then you'll know it didn't work, Fyrzowt. But I'll let you know, you sit tight.

What I don't understand is the whole Deisel pusher market, you have to have funny money for that hobby! Or big boats! 400 gallons at the dockside pumps @ 5 bucks a gallon to cruise for the weekend!

This is the year we're going farther than ever, Cross Country for 3-5 months starting April 15th. We decided we better do it now while gas is 4.00 bucks a gallon. In a few years it could be 8 bucks and and then it puts a damper on having fun. I guess i will just have to slow down and conserve, we should get 15% better mileage.

Why doesn't the Gov, put the speed limit down to 55 like they did in the 70's? That alone would really help.

Gas still 3.12 today.

$3.65 for regular and $4.09 for diesel. I love my Prius.

I suspect that RV campgrounds are going to be hurting this summer.

I am hopeful people will adjust and still use their campers. It may be shorter trips though, as mine will be.

Nope. I plan on staying in my house for the summer with a bicycle, skateboard, roller blades or my legs as my only means of transportation. I will ride my bike to Airstream rallies with a back pack and tent so I can visit my friends.

Probably will help timeshare campgrounds where owners tend to stay put and leave their RV on site. It might also help some destination campgrounds who offer storage. I know of some in Branson who will store your trailer and then move it to a site just prior to your arrival. Cost to store is fairly nominal.

I know from my standpoint we have to look at gas costs and determine whether travel and staying in a room with cooking facilities using my 37 mpg Honda Civic will be cost competitive against towing the A/S and getting 10 mpg. The longer distance the trip, the more the cost of fuel offsets the cost of lodging.

Jack

In Southern California just before I left home for my latest camping expedition, it was $3.47 per gallon. There is no end in sight to the increases. When is it going to end ???
