Wow - what a great trip you guys had. Thank you so much for sharing them.

When ever I hit the Astoria bridge I feel like I have just found paradise. The entire OR,WA,BC,AB,MT trip is our playground. Living just outside of Vancouver, BC, we are well situated to head out and enjoy most of this on a whim - but I'm the one with the whims, Donna's the one with the practical side that says an acre needs mowing, watering, on going maintenance and all that other really boring stuff that gets in the way. It has been far too long since we did a tour and I'm working on Donna to do the tour this coming year. She is likely going to want to use the truck instead of the '57 wagon just because of the convenience of A/C etc but I'll keep working her on the fact that with the wagon she can take her time. Or, even better, maybe through the winter I'll get up to a point where I can do some if not all of the driving and then for sure it's the wagon's-ho or however they said it.

I'll get her to take a tour through your slides tonight and then she'll be thinking about a trip again . We've been to all the areas you traveled to excepting YSNP which is on the wish list, and spent many wonderful holidays with friends and family touring about until the last couple of years. Time to get things kick started again.

And by the way, to keep to the thread - gas here was $1.06 a litre yesterday. Geez, it's on it's way back up again - what gives?

Barry

Drove to PT this morning @ 0430 and Regular was $2.55/gal....Diesel @ $2.89.

When I left PT @ 0600, Regular was $2.75/gal....Diesel @ $2.84.

This afternoon @ 1500, Regular was $2.64/gal....Diesel @ $2.85.

This was all @ the same convenience store.

Can someone explain this mindnumbing number jumble to me? It's still the same God Darned fuel in the holding tank.....no resupply tankers came today; I asked the Town & Country convenience store lady, and she had no answer of course.

$2.42.9 for regular in New Jersey this weekend at a Sunoco. They pumped the gas, cleaned the front and rear windows, and offered to check the oil.

Just drove up yesterday from Va Beach, Va, via the Eastern Shores, and I found diesel varied from 2.77$ to 2.89$ per gallon.

More like $3.84 a gallon American. $106.9 x .95 = $1.01555 per litre American x 3.785 equals $3.84--Yikes. $2.59 in St. Louis for regular and $2.80 for diesel
