$2.54 per gallon at that same station on Main St. in Greenwood where it was $2.64 the other day.

Nothing like looking at this thread after a while to get bummed out. I paid $2.84 at an Indian Res. in NM a couple of weeks ago and $2.84 in western Colorado recently, but now I find out I've been paying too much compared to other places when I had been feeling pretty good.

Gas in Grand Junction has been creeping up the last few days—saw $3.04 yesterday at one of the cheap stations. Crude oil and spot gasoline prices have stayed down, so it may be a distribution thing or they are messing with us. Spot gas was $2.75 yesterday and retail ought to be $2.75-$2.90.

Generally name brand is a dime more.
Name brand is $2.64 in Greenwood, MS. I have bought from the non-branded store before. They sell ethanol free for vintage vehicles.
All the gas here comes from the same barge in Greenville. The only difference in non-branded or Shell or Exxon or BP is which additives/detergents are put in it at the port/barge/terminal. Sometimes the same tanker takes it to several different stations. Sometimes a family that owns s chain of C-stores will have more than one brand (Exxon, Shell, BP) and they all get the same gas.
There is one non-branded station that I never go to because of rumors that there is water in their gas. I don't really believe that, though. Their parking lot is always full.
I usually pay the ten cents more for convenience or safety or a good automatic car wash.
The station around the corner from the house vs. ten cents cheaper in a bad neighborhood across town where shootings snd stabbings are common occurrences. We have a mechanic shop across the street from this one particular station where we have witnessed shootings at mid-day-

Prices in the St. Louis Area are from $2.79 to 2.89 for Regular. A week ago many stations were flirting with $2.50, and I actually had one fill up at $2.46.

Gas is actually cheaper in some parts of California than in some parts of Georgia. Prices around Atlanta are between $2.79 and $2.89.
