$2.93 in Montrose, Colo., yesterday, but by the time we got closer to home and were passing through Delta, Colo., it went up 3 to 6¢. Delta is almost always cheaper than Montrose, but sometimes the bear gets you. We paid $2.89 with grocery store discount.

Wow Mike, that's some serious hurt!!
I would guess that the cost to transport fuel to the area, has something to do with the higher price!.. WOOF!!

Let us hope that there isn't any gouging going on!
My check tonight shows that fuel prices haven't been updated for a couple of days there where you are, out at OHMYGAS.com. They are still showing $4.099 for a gallon of diesel on their website.
Ajo Gas Prices

About all we can look forward to is ( and hopefully a better 2012 )!!

Mostly, down here, as my buddy at the gas pumps explains, hardly anyone is going into Mexico this winter ( for a number of reasons), which means the locals have to pay more because of the lack of volume pumped.

Thanks Mike, that explains it!.. I never even thought about the turmoil, what with all that takes place along the boarder area there... It would seem that we all are enduring more problems since our Congress took their buddies, ( On Our Dollar ), and went on life support in the ICU here, of late...

Please stay safe my friend, maybe we can light a fire under their butts, and continued rebuttals, during the up and coming elections!!!!

Keep the faith alive!

Well I just fueled up for 2.99... I was on one hand so happy that it was under 3.00!!!! But on the other hand I said.... "Its still way way way too high!" And to think that if we are not careful Canada will run its pipeline to the Pacific Port to ship to China... While America can't wake up and welcome "North American" oil and gas in a pipeline delivered to the heartland of America!

We Americans better wake the hell up and fight for a energy plan!

We just round-tripped it from SW Michigan to Denver over the weekend sans AS. Prices in IA were as low as $2.94, NE prices averaged around $3.09 and we filled up in Loveland, CO for $2.97...back home it's still at $3.39.

Wholesale gas was $2.75 yesterday. Iran's threats may be simply to raise the price of oil, but it works.

Prices for retail will soon rise to $3.25-3.50.

It just jumped up $.35 a gallon between rush hour this morning and this afternoon. They are blaming it on mid east tensions and the end of the government subsidy of ethanol. There always seems to be a reason......We are now $3.35 for regular.

Most insightful statement yet. I truly don't get the Iran thing. Surely the entire world knows the reality is that our Navy and Air Force will obliterate Iran's in about a day and a half. The Straights will be reopened by suppertime.

Just another damned excuse.

Just my 2 cents.

Jim

Today's gas prices.

Hi, today's fuel prices are still higher here than anywhere else [lower 48] except for Canada and Alaska.

Regular unleaded in The SF Bay Area $3.55 to 3.69. We get to pay more in CA because ours is "specially formulated" to "burn clean" .... It also generates more margin for Chevron ...

Hi, and this "Special Formula" has cost me about two miles per gallon in a vehicle that doesn't get very good mileage as it is. I used to get 11.5 MPG while towing and now I get 10 MPG towing. Originally my Lincoln was rated 12 MPG city and 17 MPG highway, now it's more like 10 MPG city and 15 MPG highway.
