What is the best place to store a rig near San Diego, CA???

I'm planning an adventure across US and Canada this summer. I plan to end up at my son's home near San Diego. I would like to put my truck and AS in storage so that I can return to make short trips to the Baja and New Mexico. Can anyone suggest a storage facility near San Diego?

You've asked a great question, because finding a place down here is really a challenge. I looked for a few months before we bought our TT and found that spots are few a far between in San Diego.

Having said that, we did find a place that had just opened up and turned out to be great. It' called the "Big Toy Depot", located at, 7515 Britannia Court in South San Diego, phone : (619) 661-8300. Now when I say south, I mean way south, but it has excellent access roads, and is located in a new, large, clean industrial area.

Big Toy has security, both indoor and outdoor storage, a dump facility, wash rack for RV's, access to almost any amenity for RV maintenace you can imagine, good quality management and staff.

I would suggest that any Airstreamer in San Diego looking for a place to call home for their rig, check this place out! For those skeptics out there, no, I don't work there or have any business realtionship with them other than to send them my monthly check.
