Western Wings Sporting Clays and RV park

We recently had the opportunity to explore Eastern Idaho and wanted to share with you a wonderful camping site we discovered. Western Wings Sporting Clays & RV Park is located in Roberts, ID, just off I-15, and about 15 miles N of Idaho Falls. We had a beautiful campsite next to a small pond, complete with geese, on a 2700 acre sporting clays compound. While this is an active shooting club, we did not find the sound of the shooting intrusive. There was no special shooting event going on while we were there, so the shooting was sporadic. We were welcome to roam the grounds, use the lovely clubhouse, walk our dogs (leash-free since it wasn't crowded when we were there) and generally enjoy ourselves. All sites were pull-thru, could accomodate up to 65' and had water and electric (no sewer)!! All this cost us a nightly fee of $20!!! The proprietors were very friendly and helpful in suggesting things for us to do. We couldn't have been happier. It was the best place we've stayed in 6 years of roaming around!
