Rivet weight chart

Looking for site that shows the dry weight of AS's. I know I've seen it somewhere... As I rememeber my unit (67 Safari) runs about 3200 with the tongue at 10%? Help me out folks, Need to buy a WD hitch before I pull this summer. Need to get the right size. 500lb bars is my thought.

Weight Chart

Greetings Working!

Welcome to the froums and the world of Vintage Airstream ownership. The information that you desire can again be accessed at the Airstream corporate site at its new address found below:

Airstream Empty Weights, Ball Heights, Etc.

I had been looking for this information for some time as it was displaced when the Airstream corporate site was reconfigured.

Based on my experience with my '78 Argosy Minuet, I suspect that the 500 pound bars should be nearly ideal for your Safari. The 400 pound "light-weight" bars might also be a possibility as well. I know the hitch weight on my Minuet runs between 410 and 425 pounds (20' with total weight of approximately 3,250 pounds).

Good luck with your search!

Kevin

weight chart/missing years

It's odd that there's no listing for '56, 58, 59 and 60. I thought i found the weight on my former '60 Overlander (3750) there some time ago but I guess not.

Thanks overlander64.
Shows the dry @ 3450 with tongue of 405. I think that the 500lb bars will be a little light once I'm loaded. The water tank is forward and my unit has a hitch mounted spare(possibly orginal & included in 405?) Will check the next available bar weight and make my choice with my new knowledge.
so it goes...

Rog0525,
I printed off a copy of the weights last year and after looking at them again, I do not see those years listed for your Overlander either.
