Website listing reduced fee camping
Hi everyone!
Years ago I learned about, from this forum, a website on which you could search for camping at city and county parks as well as state and federal campgrounds, and you could search this by state.
I thought the website was “campgrounds.us.info” but that does not bring anything up. I know websites need to be .com or .gov or some such designation, but I also remember thinking when I first read of this website that it was an odd address.
Does anyone else recall this website? Thanks so much to anyone who might remember and share.

Thanks, Hittenstiehl for those websites.
Do you remember one that is similar in name to what I thought it was? This is bugging me. When you went there it always started out in Utah or one of the western states and you were to type in where you were wanting information.
I think I misstated the title — it may have offered free camping options, but the state parks and some national would not have been free or reduced.
Thanks again.

Try campground reviews that sounds similar.
And yes Allstays...that was a darn auto correct.

Well, the website I am thinking of does not offer memberships. If I remember correctly, it was written by an individual and he maintained it. There was no membership fee nor any cost to use it. I am wondering if the owner may have aged out and cannot continue to maintain it.
If I come up with it, I’ll post it on here. FYI — this is driving me nuts trying to think of it! 🙂

Yahoo! I looked through my filing, I found my notes from years ago, and there it was, along with two other websites!!
The one I was trying to find and which I used to use quite often is:
uscampgrounds.info (I was fairly close in remembering it. )
The following two I just checked out and it looks as tho they are still up and working, but I must say I have never used them. One used to be called another name, but it was rerouted automatically to the new version of it.
The two I don’t remember having used, but was told about years ago:
freecampsites.net
rvtravel.com
Hoping someone else will enjoy using one or two of these sites too.

Not a website but an app for all public campgrounds.
Check out this great app called The Ultimate US Public Campground Project: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ulti...3700?ls=1&mt=8

Try freecampsites.net. Gives you free sites as well as others after you type in a location.
