Found an interesting article in the Albuquerque Journal this morning that mentions the significant growth of Airstream owners which the author attributes mainly to the baby boomer generation. We purchased our '25 Flying Cloud from Airstream of New Mexico in 2016. They were also quoted as having explosive growth after the '08 recession.
Most interesting in the article was mention of a new vintage trailer hotel in Taos, New Mexico. In addition to Airstreams, they have other vintage trailers for rent. I checked out their website and it has some great exterior and interior pictures of restored vintage trailers from different manufacturers from the '50 through early '70's to rent. The site pictures look a bit barren, but the vistas are spectacular and near the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. The website also says that they have boondocking RV sites on the property.
