Vinnie's of the East Coast?

I've heard many good things from many people about Vinnie's in Northern California. Looking for someone similar on the East Coast.

We have water penetration in the rear of the trailer. Need to identify and fix the leak, remove interior components to replace floor coverings, and put it all back together.

Looking for a shop that does excellent work, is honest and fairly priced. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance!

Vinnie's in Florida? The factory in Ohio? Colonial Airstream?

Check with Vinnie's as they have limited services in FL. I know for certain that they don't do front end separation repairs there.

We used Vinnies in Fl for the ceramic coating. They are limited in certain projects. Reach out to them. When you call you will talk to someone in the Ca. Shop. They do the scheduling.

Vintage Basecamp in Crestwood, Ky. (Just outside of Louisville). Vintage is awesome and do more than just remodel. Vinnies in Tallahassee has been great as well.

Vinnies

Vinnie is a great tech and person. I wish he was on the East Coast but unfortunately I believe the Florida location is mostly ceramic treatment and if scheduled quality dent repairs.

I would consider making an appointment at the factory in Jackson Center

I think Ronnie is VERY booked up deep into generator installs and Victron upgrades vs body damage and leaks.

Speaking from experience, if you haven't already, I suggest you pull up the flooring so the sub floor can start to dry. Otherwise the vinyl or whatever will just hold in water. I ripped up my vinyl early and the subfloor is drying. Have to repair a spot but could have been worse. There was dampness under a large area of the vinyl.

Hi Sam, Echoing Farafield, not sure what trailer you have but you might want to start the drying process now. Here's a detailed thread on how I (and others) have tackled the rear trailer water incursion problem. Fortunately for me, the wood was not too far gone whne I treated it. It's been fine going on 10+ years now. https://www.airforums.com/forums/f39...ml#post1262866

I keep a running list of airstream repair businesses that have been highly recommended (by people I know personally, or other members of this forum, etc.) It consists of shops sprinkled around the USA. I have no first hand experience with any of them - - I keep the list in case we need service while travelling around the country.

One shop not mentioned yet that is up closer to where you are in Ontario, is:

Colin Hyde Trailer Restorations
63 Trade Rd

Plattsburgh, NY 12901
518-566-4400

Before sharing the list, I need to do a little “curating” first. It is not yet well-organized - - it’s just a pile of electronic notes I’ve jotted down.

I will try to get it organized and posted soon.

P&S Trailer

Highly recommend talking to Kevin Ruth at P&S Trailer in Helena OH. Pandstrailerservice.com. They did a lot of work on my 1995 Excella: replaced front lower panel and window, front end separation,
new AC and water heater, and polish. Great to work with and fair price. They do a lot of work and even have an arrangement to buy shells from airstream and then build out custom trailers.
