Do you camp at Maumelle a lot? We sort of stumbled onto it after spending a less than enjoyable night at the KOA. One of our sons lives in Nashville and we had been driving all the way to Village Creek but that made for a really long day of towing from Dallas. Hopefully this will be a
bit easier first day

It's our first time. We live in Little Rock, so the park is too close to home for us. We only went because our WBCCI unit was having a rally. That said it is a really nice park, and we know lots of people from Little Rock that do go there for camping. We may go back especially if/when we get a weekend without the kids.

That is a great picture. There's a Lunar Eclipse tomorrow night. You're in a great dark sky area to see that. Maybe you can get a few pics of that. I don't think you can see the whole show out west, only part of it. East coast should have a great view if there are no clouds. Nice nighttime photos. Keep up the good work.

In Ouray, Colorado for a week or so, for the fall color. Not a view from the door, but just a short run up the road (550, the Million Dollar highway), yesterday, gave this image:



And a 1 hour run up forest service trails into the San Juans, Rocky Mountains (MANY thanks to the Denali 4WD truck) yielded this at 12,000 feet elevation:

We stayed right down the road from there at the Silver Slipper Casino park earlier this year. We really enjoyed the area and would love to go back some day.
