North Rim Grand Canyon site 11. You can't see it in the picture very well but we can see the canyon from the door.

If my memory serves me right, I hope it does, I have camped in that same site back in 2007 or 2008. There are only a handful of sites within the National Parks that have what's designated as premium. We sat there and watched the deer in groups of 10 to 15 just walk directly through our site. The deer acted as if we were not even there. The rim trail from this site to the lodges is wonderful. Thanks for the memory.

Your memory is correct. The mule deer were a no show for us. The trail from the CG to the lodge along the rim has spectacular views. To get one of the few premium sites overlooking the canyon we made our reservation the minute !!! they were available on line and some were already taken. Site is bit uneven but well worth the extra $7 a night. Happy to bring be camping memories.

We stayed there in late May, early June and it was wonderful. It was cold at night, but the site had plenty of sunshine during the day so the solar panels to recharge the batteries everyday. One big thunder storm rolled through one late afternoon and the thunder in the canyon was the loudest thing I've ever heard in my life. Great echo.

I haven't committed to region/Tennessee. We're still in the decision making process. We might go to the last 2 days of Picayune. It is at the same time as the Texas-Louisiana RV.
We might go to Region and we might go to the Meridian Christmas rally. I've got 9 trips planned, leaving only 6 vacation days left to work with.
Regardless, we'll se you at a rally sometime.
