Twin Falls, ID to North Platte, NE

We will be leaving Twin Falls Idaho around Thursday and need to get to my 93 year old aunt in North Platte Nebraska.

Any advice on the road conditions and elevation that might cause us to hit snow and/or bad weather?

We are not familiar with this area and have no idea if there are very high mountain passes that will make this trip dangerous.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Find your way to I-80 in Wyoming and just find the exit off I-80 to North Platte, Nebraska.

Towing the Beauty with the Beast is a great combination for laying back and enjoy your trip!

You will no doubt get a strong NW wind crossing the Wyoming High Plains... but the slight tailwind might push you to Laramie getting better mpg towing. The Wyoming DOT will close the road to all traffic if there are snow conditions that impair travel.

Bad weather in Wyoming. Wait a couple hours. The worst weather is what gets around Casper, Wyoming and blows into western Nebraska and eastern Colorado.

Avoid I-70. If it is not the traffic. It would be the rock falling onto the highway around Glenwood Springs. If it is sunny and warm and no wind... it is all of the mountain passes. Then repeat.
