Wow! so many suggestions
I started creating a spread sheet and hope to compile all the great suggestions soon.
I tried using Good Sam RV trip planning software but it hangs-up when I start opining campsites, looking for different application or program.
After my first day on the road 600 miles a day is defiantly hard to do even at 65MPH and lite traffic. My work situation only allow’s me 5 weeks vacation and I worry about the cost of fuel rising in the future, I do agree it is a long way just from Ohio to Washington. One thing for sure time is not on my side.
I may need to break this trip into 2 but I hope not.
The AIR FORUMS is such a great site to share favorite places and to be able to get reliable information, suggestions and comments from everyone is priceless, thank you all so much.

Glad to see you are thinking things over. We did a round trip in the 90's -- NY-San Diego-Napa CA and back -- in 7 weeks and about 7000 towing miles, taking the southern route in winter. Glad we did it when we were 20 years younger, as the pace was challenging. Very little touring en route, and no children along -- getting to the west coast, and back, was the priority.
Time is definitely not on your side, but you will work it out . . .
Have fun!
Peter
PS -- What is that great Steinbeck quote from Travels with Charley -- In Search of America?

“Once a journey is designed, equipped, and put in process, a new factor enters and takes over. A trip, a safari, an exploration, is an entity, different from all other journeys. It has personality, temperament, individuality, uniqueness. A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing, and coercion are fruitless. We find after years of struggle that we do not take a trip; a trip takes us. Tour masters, schedules, reservations, brass-bound and inevitable, dash themselves to wreckage on the personality of the trip. Only when this is recognized can the blown-in-the glass bum relax and go along with it. Only then do the frustrations fall away. In this a journey is like marriage. The certain way to be wrong is to think you control it.” [emphasis added]

Might want to think about Kalaloch in the Olympic NP. There is a spot mentioned in Sunset magazine many years ago. Don't recall the number but suffice it to say we never got it. Cougar Rock CG in Mt Rainier NP. Don't count on the dump station there. Its REALLY tight! Crater Lake NP. Mazumma CG (spelling probably not correct) If you get out to the Oregon Coast, take a look at Sea and Sand resort near Depoe bay.

Need more advice planning stage
West Trip Still in planning stage:
I have made some key reservation around Labor Day weekend.
We will be leaving the flathead lake area on 8/30 and heading on I 90 west toward our next stop Mount Saint Hellenes area.
Any suggestions with good camping area midway for a couple of days off of I-90.
Looking for a nice campsite with electric for 2 days, small town area local fan fair, restaurant, attractions and some great sites to see.

A suggestion: consider Leavenworth WA (north of Cle Elum) for a stopover. Always something going on. Don't have a camping recommendation for you though.
