Trip to the Washington Coast

HI all!

Me and the fam will be heading to Westport, WA for the week of July 21-25. We plan on doing some salmon and deep sea fishing(if the season lasts until the end of July!!!) I will have the '52 Cruisette ready to go and if anyone else is going to be in the area, drop a line! We will be staying in Tokeland because it's less populated and better campgrounds....and great claming!

I would have loved to go to the International Rally in Bozeman, but I can only afford one big trip this summer because of gas prices.

All in all, it will be a great time and hopefully we will see some friendly Streamers!

Last time we stayed in Westport we wandered around the harbor to Hoquiam, and there's a wonderful little theater over there being restored - I think it's called the 7th street theater. We were lucky, we happened to wander by in the afternoon just exploring, and people were getting it ready for the evening show and invited us inside for a look. The theater is worthwhile just to visit and see if you can get a peek inside, it's really incredible craftsmanship like you just don't see anymore.

That sounds great! How far away is it from Westport? It sounds like a fun place and we will definately have to check it out.

It's not far. We drove around the whole harbor in an easy day of wandering, and were back home in time to rest up for a bit before dinner. Visited Aberdeen and whatever else was on the other side there. It's a nice area to just wander and window shop.

Depending on the weather, you need to take dramamine or a plastic bag along.
