We purchased our AS Flying Cloud Bambi 19’ this year and planning a trip to Connecticut to Utah and have been looking at various campground planning tools. Any particular preferences like RVWizard or Good Sam Club?

We just started using RV Trip Wizard. It is easy to use and very versatile.

I use Truck Map & RVLife Trip Wizard. Trip Wizard will let you map stop to stop including fuel & keep track of costs if you like.

We are old school and use paper road atlas that marks attractions and let’s us see our route as a big picture. Campendium and allstays helps us find fuel, camp grounds, and boondocking spots. Gas buddy helps us identify cheapest gas. Good Sam gets us discounts at campgrounds and pays for itself if you stay connected.

We opted for a 4 year @ $75 good Sam membership. Gave us $50 credit at camping world as well.

We are sorta on the lower end of the OCB scale, but still reasonably prudent...Our first Airstream trip (11 years and 125K miles ago) was around 5K miles to the NW from Missouri and in summer. We carried a Woodall’s book and made advance reservations only at Yellowstone. Around mid afternoon noon each day a phone call to our stopping choice NEVER failed to find a site, even if in an overflow lot or driveway. Invariably, discovery was made of parks not known which were delightful, AND WE WERE ABLE TO ENJOY THE FLEXIBILITY OF RVING WITHOUT THE DEMANDS OF DESTINATION. Just a thought. Have safe travels.
