Same for hanging paper towels

Leave a length of yarn (string, ribbon etc) on holder and simply tie around it when moving. I put my paper towels on a spring rod between kitchen cabinet side and stationery wall and have a piece hangin there for same thing...it was way worse in falling and unrolling as it had much farther to go. Plexiglass cover and all other ideas only if you have time and energy to burn...like the smashing fix also.

I cut and slit an empty 2L soda bottle the same width of the toilet paper. We just slip it over the toilet paper when we travel.

You know those little round stickers you can buy in a pack to put prices on things for garage sales? Buy a pack of those and stick one on the loose end of the toilet paper whenever you are traveling. Peel off that piece of paper and toss it when you get to your destination.

We use a rubber band on toilet paper and paper towels to keep them from unrolling in transit

TP Fix

Easy solution is to tuck a little of the unraveling end in to the roll tube. It has worked for me.

Never one for wasting time and energy on jobs that can easily be eliminated. Just a mild squash of the cardboard core will do it. An even better way is to install a holder like this one

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015GWRN7E..._F6G1BbEQCF8V0

So the roll is pressed slightly against the wall so the friction stops it unrolling

Toilet paper cover.

I use a plastic small soda bottle, top and bottom removed, with a slit cut down the side from top to bottom. The plastic bottle covers over the toilet paper, and doesn't let the tp roll out. I do the same thing for my paper towels in the kitchen.

I also use the squish method..even for the extra rolls..takes up less space.

Now that that has been solved, should we sort out that other hugely important question being what brand of toilet paper should we use.

Simply solution: Stuff end of roll (about 1 sheet) into the tube end. That's what $250,000+ education gets you at Cornell.

Happy streaming

Finally! An advantage of a wet bath over a dry one.

I can feed my paper the legal way of over the top, and my "water proof" cover door keeps the paper from spooling out while on the road. Win-win!

Stuff it in the Kleenex cube, either an empty one or right on top of tissues.

Mine hasn't rolled off yet. Although the toilet paper I am using is probably 10 years old. I will be interesting to see if the new paper I bought will roll off. The new rolls seem like little flimsy rolls compared to my old stuff. When I bought it it seemed really cheap and I bought a brand name.

They just don't make toilet paper like they used too.

Or maybe the old stuff had time to really settle and all you need to do is buy toilet paper and let it sit for 10 years - problem solved.

Wow - retirement - who new I would be comparing toilet paper and enjoying it. I take my research very seriously.

On a side note: When I went to build an outhouse for our camp years ago I started looking on the internet for building plans. Well.. there are people who love outhouses and everything you ever wanted to know about them. I guess everyone needs a hobby.
