To the woman I just met at Live Oak Landing, Freeport, FL

I was cooking eggs outside this morning and was just about to turn them over-easy when a nice young woman came by and asked me about my Airstream. (I'm 67 so almost everyone is younger!) She had a Bambi International and wanted to know why my Flying Cloud awning was a different color.

I wish I had the time to talk with her, but we were craving our hot eggs and bacon! I didn't want to be rude, and would have loved to talk. So I went back to chat after breakfast, but she was just pulling out onto the street.

If you are that woman, please PM me.

If you aren't: tell me about the different color awnings. I know the Classic has blue/white stripes, but what about the others?

The awnings on our Classic are stripes in shades of black, grey and white. Not blue and white stripes like you think. I have seen blue, red and white. I think worrying about the finish on the eggs was a better use of attention span.

Did you tour the park model at Live Oak?

It's not wrong. Classic awnings changed to the present black, white, gray with the interior redesign in 2015. It's the same awning that came as original equipment on my 2001 16' Bambi. Colors change from time to time on different models.

I like my black, white, gray but always liked the blue ones too....

I picked a red to go with my truck.

Not a perfect match but I like the red awnings.

We did tour the park model. It's clever and attractive. One on the banks of the bayou is for resale for $89K. I'm not tempted to buy it. The eggs were great.

Awnings on our 2007 25 Classic has the full package of blue and white but any color is great on an Airstream!

The awnings on my FC26U are charcoal tweed. My former FC20 had the tweed awnings, too. 😊

We aren't either.

But I liked the building. I know a place that would work well without site rent and management fees.

Then there's people like us, who didn't want a color awning that everyone else has. We went to ZipDee website, and picked out a different blue/grey/cream color stripe combo for our trailer when we ordered the awning.
Different strokes for different folks!

I can’t get excited about awnings

But my heart did take a flutter when I saw you were looking for a woman who came by at breakfast....was hoping there was the beginning of a ❤️Story there. Wise to get the eggs perfectly delivered to the woman you have!
