North Beach Camp Resort. Stayed there in 2016 enroute to Disney and based on recommendations from this forum. One of my favorites. The morning sunrise at the beach across the street is a must see.

You could stop along the way and visit "After Taxes"

We have also stayed at the North Beach Camp Resort. Nice place and great location.

There is also Anastasia State Park on Anastasia Island across the bay from St. Augustine but it is almost always booked far ahead.

Safe travels!

Yup, it is a great time to go to Florida. I just love wondering down A1A in Northeastern Florida.

Anastasia is probably completely booked but you might call on your way down and be able to snag a site for a night or two.

Gamble Rogers has site 60 available for Jan 27 and Tomoka has 14 sites available for Jan 27.

The photo is of site 30 at Tomoka. We have this site reserved for spring break week.

I highly recommend the Allstays App.

Good luck, DanClick image for larger version

Just after crossing into Florida, to the east of I-95, is Fernandina Beach and Ft. Clinch State Park. A great little town, great camping in the state park (if you get into the wooded bayside CG, the shoreside one is all exposed which, in January/February, is actually a plus), and great walking along beautiful beaches. One of my favorite places. Safe travels. jon

Thanks for the recommendation for Fort Clinch SP. looks like they have two trailer sites available for Jan 27. There appears to be lots to see and do in this SP. I will be sure to check it out sometime.

No sites are available, but you might want to stop and see the manatees at Blue Springs SP. There should be close to 100 there this time of year enjoying the 72 degree spring fed water in the St. John’s River (see photos).

We stayed at Compass RV in St, Augustine in October 2018. Both back-in & pull thru sites. Very convenient for visits downtown.

At this late date …………… anywhere you can find a spot.

ps....if you are looking at State parks be aware there are three "Blue Springs" State Parks.

25 ft is a good length but still "big" at Tomoka SP, and Little Talbot SP. Most STate park reservations for the prime state parks get gobbled up 11 months out.

We stay at St Aug Beach KOA when we have St Aug Amphitheater tickets. They are 1 mile from theater and also the beach. Also near the Gypsy Cab Company. Long time favorite eatery.
