Things to do at Jackson Center

We had a trip to the mothership for a 21/2 day stay. We checked put Bellefontaine, Ohio. close to JC. Found the first cement street in the US. The official shortest street in the world. Both with great plaques. Pix opportunities. A great bakery and coffee shop a right by the courthouse and best if all Route 68 Grill and Bar. They are known for their steaks. Rustic bar decor but wow on the food. We had $19 8oz filets that were tender enough to cut with a fork. 2 sides. We watched all the food. Great variety and all generous in portions. One of the best steaks we ever had. We shared with the owners who were very pleased with the compliment. Great place to try

Route 68 Grill and Bar

Thanks for the recommendation. We will be spending a few days there ourselves in short order and would prefer something a bit better than Subway!

I'm visiting just south of Ceveland and I thought the most important thing to do in Ohio this time of year was to stay dry and warm. Have a great trip. Jim

We found a very friendly little bar about two blocks away. Food was just OK, but the people were very nice and we had some fun conversations with people who worked at Airstream.

Jim,

Take a drive today, maybe Mohician State Forest, find some apple orchards, get some fresh cider. Yesterday might have been a better day, some places might be closed today. Mohican State Park - Mohican State Park http://forestry.ohiodnr.gov/mohican

Smile Jackson Center Area

We enjoyed visiting the Neil Armstrong Air & Space Museum in nearby Wapakoneta. Of course after the obligatory factory tour!
