The Spirit of Old Airstreamers

Here's a link to a sweet article in Outside magazine. The author, Eric Hansen, takes his 94 year old grandma (a former Airstreamer) on a road trip in a motor home. It's a good, humorous read, and displays the spirit of those who travel with an Airstream, even though for this trip they are not. Enjoy.

Great story. I really enjoyed reading it as it reminded me so much of my own grandmother and my mother. I know when my wife reads it tonight it will bring a huge smile to her face as well as she will have the same memories of them as I do. This really did make my day.

Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks again...

Thanks for passing that link along...

My mother is 90, still golfing 3 times a week and working a shift volunteering at Monterey Aquarium, living alone and just renewed her license with written and driving test.. She wants to go to her 70th College reunion in Massachusetts next spring, and doesn't believe in flying or airplanes... I have a hunch we may be driving back there with the Airstream if Amtrack or Canadian Rail don't work out.. Good to know what a road trip might be like...
