We watch this movie every year during our fourth of July trip. I would love to be able to step back in time and go to a show like that. I'm lucky I live 45 minutes away from the worlds largest RV show in Hershey PA which starts today. Weather here isn't so good and since we just bought our AS 22FB Sport in June we are not going this year.

Hey there T20 Cousin!
Ours is a restored 1960 T20 (1960 built, early 1961 MY), that we've owned since 2012 & love it.
Cheers!

Bought it
Seen it before but just bought it on Amazon. Can't wait to show the grandkids on our next roadtrip. Love the expression on Nicky's face the first time he drives (remember trailer brakes first). First time backing (Oh man)!
A gem for sure.

Apparently in 1954 when you pulled into a "Trailer Court", an Attendant came out to park your trailer for you. Can you imagine that happening today?
Anyway we enjoyed it...

If you are hooked on The Long Long Trailer put the book by Clinton Twiss on your bucket list, There is a thread on the book.

Great movie! I have it and watch every so often.
I call my wife ‘Lucy’ every time she picks up a rock.

Classic Film
I've watched the movie a couple of times, enjoy it every time.
Believe it or not, there are sites that will park your trailer. I visit June Lake CA regularly and at Silver Lake RV, Mike or one of the others greets you and pulls out the forklift with custom front, hooks you up and backs it right into the stall. Perfect every time. I also had this done at Moab.

We never heard of the PCV Rally in Mississippi featuring 300 plus Vintage Trailers. Could someone send us more information about this rally the 3rd week in May.

I know someone who tows a 24ft Terry trailer with a 1968 Buick Wildcat Convertible.
Big 60's V8 power and a fairly beefy frame. No problems.

The Long, Long Trailer
You can add my recommendation to those already posted for both the book and the movie! The movie was one of the first that I purchased in VHS format in the early 1980s and I have since added copies on DVD to my collection as well since I typically have the movie playing whenever either of my trailers is in a Vintage RV open house. I didn't ferret out a copy of the book until much later (about 6 years ago), but once it arrived in the mail from an e-Bay auction, I couldn't put it down until I had read the book from cover to cover. I had always dreamed of making an RV trip towing one of my trailers with a convertible and realized that dream in 2009 when I towed my Minuet to the WBCCI International Rally in Wyoming with my 1975 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible -- rig pictured below:

Haha... my neighbor brought us over the DVD shortly after we brought our Airstream home. It was hilarious! And yes, some really nice features of trailer parks back then. =)

Richard & Joanna -
Pismo Beach CA Vintage Trailer Rally:
There were actually some folks who came over from MS with their vintage rigs in the couple of few years.
Here's some info links, but if you search for it online in any particular past year, then it will come up with all sorts of location for pix & videos from past ones. Do look at some of the pix & videos, because there are all sorts of unusual trailers from history, as well as ASs, plus some historic vehicles, including a GM Futurama Truck from the 1940-50's car shows.
It's usually all booked up a year in advance, but contact Mike Keenan on the Facebook page link to get on the wait list in case folks cancel out, if you want to get in.

http://www.tinkertin.com/blog/2018/6...-trailer-rally (scroll down to their pix from 2018 rally, just one I found googling)
More pix & videos if you search it by year with Google, Bing, etc. or other search engine of your choice.
AS WBCCI at same weekend:
The LA area SoCal WBCCI also has a camp-out literally next door the same weekend, so a lot of newer AS owners come over to visit & visa versa,,,,

Enjoy!
