Telluride Bluegrass Festival

Hey All! Has anyone ever been to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival? We are hoping to go this year on our way to Bozeman, and are in desperate search for tickets for their Coonskin RV campground (they are all sold out, but we are hoping for a miracle!). In the likely event that we can't get tickets, does anyone have a recommendation for a nice campground that is relatively close to the festival? Thanks, Liz and Chris

We had a boon docking rally at the top of the lizard head pass last year during the blue grass event. I have no idea how much snow is at the top of the pass right now but it's a great blm boon docking area. There's also a campground slightly down the mountain from the top of the pass just before the resort area. A good friend of mine operates a business in Telluride and I can tell you it's the busiest week of the year there, even more so then the busiest ski season week. I doubt if it would be possible to find a preservable campground this late.
