Tawas for Three, a woman's retreat

The Michigan Rivettes took off for Tawas Point State Park and though our number was small our experience was large. We had a mix of rain and sunshine but the views from the bay and Lake Huron was spectacular. A birder's paradise, the calls and spottings were unique to the area. We hiked the park and also walked the pier and Neuman's Street in town for a great time. The food was extraordinary. Not only can we tow it, but we can dish up a wonderful fare with flair every meal we shared together. My thanks to my silver sisters for a wonderful time. Well I'm glad that you trip did not disappoint! Your pictures are awesome. I've been there and it didn't even look that good. My kids love to go to the park with the cement playhouses especially the big shoe. Is that still there? I know last time I went some were gone.

Thanks Rhonda next time hope you can join us. I will have to ask Suz and Steph about the other playgrounds. I did not see but one and it didn't have a shoe but it was right by the pavillion we could rent should our rally be that large.

Oh I forgot to mention the other parks are in town. I haven't even made it to the state campground yet. Sure looks like I am missing an awesome place though.

Although we airstream in the winter months in the south we also have our "resort" beside Lake Huron in the East Tawas City Park. Often I ride my bike to the State Park from town and your pictures do represent the site quite accurately. This area is a very nice setting for the summer months.
