Stay tuned!

Hi

Would I be correct in assuming that since the theft happened in Nevada, that's where the actual trial would be held?

I was thinking about this.... its now a multi state issue. Stolen in one place, attempted sale in another, posession of stolen capital goods in 3. I suspect a case in at least 2 states.

Hi

There's also transport of stolen property across state lines .... maybe it's a federal case ....

We saw that AS!

Hah! We spotted that AS heading south from Portland as we were heading north just a few days ago.. Don't remember where exactly but we remember being amazed by the damage and wondering what could have happened. Thanks for filling in some of the blanks for us.

Talk to Victor and Linda Yesterday, the Airstream is settled in for repairs, looks like it's going to be around a $12,000 bill mark... Should be about 4 weeks turnaround time.

Another stolen Airstream:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f161...al-188628.html

Any chance these two thefts are connected to the same, or related, perps?

AN13, did the police ever see the video from the casino, on the off-chance that there were more than 1-2 perps working in concert?

Thanks for the update.

Peter

PS -- Have Victor and Linda considered starting a GoFundMe page, to help with the costs?

Highly doubtful they are related. Our friends theft was the case of druggies needing a new hangout.

She is crying the blues. I think it’s justice at it’s finest.

Justice may grind slow, but it grinds exceedingly fine. You can run, but you can’t hide forever.

Glad to hear it. I started out relatively disadvantaged but I always figured I’d pay my own way through this world. After quitting HS, I enlisted in the Army and they taught me a trade, LE. Went to college on the GI Bill and then spent 39 years in civilian LE. I have no tolerance for thieves. Being poor is nothing but an excuse for ne’er-do-wells.

Hi

So, the cost is $12,000 and yes there is all the hassle. If they have been running un-insured for many years and insurance would have been fairly expensive.... maybe it's a wash financially. Hassle wise, there's the "we totaled the trailer, here's your check for $4,000" side of the insurance ....

Thats what I thought. Looked fixable to me.

Glad they are going to get it back on the road.

So... the sordid story is that she resorted to crime and when the justice system got it all sorted-out.... She's sore...did that sort of tell it?

Wondering if they have the Sport back, and whether the estimate was accurate?

Thanks,

Peter
