And here we have it. Snow is all melted four days later, so we are all set for Cheyenne Mountain! You got to love CO weather in the Spring.

Sprinter in CO

So, another spring snow storm got us in Colorado. 9 inches of snow on Monument Hill last night and it is still snowing! This is four years in a row!

We leave for Dinosaur National Monument on Saturday with the grand-kids. We had reservations next Tuesday for May Queen Campground near Leadville, CO, but we were informed yesterday by recreation.gov that our reservations were cancelled/refunded because the campground had too much snow to open. Good for the skiers! Guess we will spend more time in the northwest part of CO. We could not extend our reservations at Green River Campground at Dinosaur so we reserved a spot at the Vernal Dinosaurland KOA which the kids will love.

Cheers!

Hope you get to Dinosaur, love that underrated park. The “Parkitecture” at Dinosaur is awesome. The shade canopys make it look like a legitimate dig is going on as you pull up. PS: I hear I-70 closed again today, rock slide in Glenwood and snow related closings near Vail pass. Love seeing your Airstream with snow on it!

Thanks for the heads-up. We are keeping an eye on the weather and it looks pretty good for Thursday through Sunday. We are going to come up Rt. 24 through Leadville hoping to miss some of the Denver traffic and potential snow related issues. We will head west from there to Rifle and then head northwest from there. The rock slides are getting cleared up, but they are assessing if more are possible. No easy way for us to avoid that part of 70 so, hopefully, no more slides.

Thanks, again!
