Sturgis is over
The Black Hills any where. Custer State Park and the Summer White House (stay there one night), Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Deadwood, the Gold mine in Sturgis, The Badlands and for a reason I can't figure out....Walls Drugs. The trip South from Walls to Valentine will take you to the Nebraska Grass Hills...don't miss the "scenic overlook" and the "State Forest" as you head down 281 if you go that way. Yellowstone out to the west. Glacier to the North. Just beautiful scenery to the East into Minn.
Envious.

Just did the trip. Melody Ranch said it all. We did near the same route. Do it. The black hills are awesome.

Wind Cave National Park is a cool place too!
Definitely worth a visit! Here is the link Wind Cave Have a great trip. There are some great places that you can still see the wheel ruts from the covered wagons they are marked by the highway, oh I wish I could remember exactly where. Help me somebody! I think we saw some outside Wall Drug, hold tight to your wallet there!!

We did just about all of those places mentioned ....all terrific!..especially the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, the Wind Cave, Wall's Drugs (not a whole lot going on there after seeing all the road signs), Deadwood, Sturgis (we missed the rally by one week)
Be sure to check out the big yellow round bales of hay along the roads..awesome, I thought, since we have square ones in California.

South Dakota
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me, drove 400 miles to register my RV.
Just to save some tax, thought I would relax…………….
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
An RV sign pointed to the park, this bean field was only just the start
With only a water hook-ups and ruts as big as a truck…………..
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
I plugged my puter into my cell phone, It wouldn’t even go to analog roam.
I’m stuck in a bean field, this twilight zone is real……….
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
I drove to Emery to get my home address, Then I was almost placed under arrest.
Marijuana Plants outside, right beside the drive…………..
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
Got my license and then I headed home, didn’t want to stay there for too long.
Dumped gray in the field, got mud all over my wheels…………
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
The black tank was as full as a well, took 3 packs of blue to kill the smell.
Headed down the road, carrying this stinky load……….
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
Then we saw a sign dump station, oh what a sweet revelation.
Hooked up the sewer hose, but little did I know…………
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
I pulled the handle to the sewer valve, black water started gushing out loud.
The clamp wasn’t tight, oh what a fright………..
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
Then the sewer hose slipped off, I couldn’t find the valve in all the slop.
40 gallons of sewer sour hit me at 60 Miles an hour………….
South Dakota wasn’t too good to me.
