I just purchased a ZAMP suitcase and I would like to keep it from wondering off to a new owner. What is the best way to prevent this other than locking it away every time we leave the trailer on it's own?
I have both a generator and a solar panell. The generator is secured with a high security chain that you buy at a logging supply that can only be cut with a power saw.
The solar panel has no way to secure it so a guard dog, shotgun, use a regular type bicycle cable lock and hope for the best.
I have a 50' X 1/8" steel cable that came off a small ATV winch. I drilled a hole in the frame of the zamp and attach the cable with a long shackle master lock. The cable has eyelets in each end, one small enough to pass through the other so the opposite end can be looped around a tree or whatever. Not theft proof, but might prevent a walk off.
