We area heading up to JC on Saturday to get there by Monday from FL. Heading up the same way you guys are. We plan on just going the Cracker Barrel/Walmart thing though.

Are you using allstays app to identify parks if no one here knows of a specific? I have it and can look up a few names if you don’t have it.

Remember most restaurants and businesses are closed, so if you can go without power overnight you may be able to moochdock in a parking lot somewhere if you can’t find a park.

We stayed at The Pines RV Park at the Tifton, GA exit. Nice quiet place, close to the Interstate, clean bathrooms, good WIFI. I'd stay there again.

the best online resources I have found for virus-still-open sites are Campendium and RVillage.

You may have to stay in a rest area on the way back, but i'm not sure of their status. I know that PA closed theirs but had to reopen them when the truckers protested. The rest rooms may be closed, the parking may be closed to cars or RV's.

rest area closings:

Most seem to be open but there are sporadic closures, including one in Kentucky who suffered a toilet paper theft.

Ohio closed down?

Hi guys- Were in Lady Lake Fl area we were told JC was closed down and if you get outta Florida you lost likely not getting back in.

Off 75 heading N past the Ga State Fair is an exit with new owners old but clean little RV park. Would be on the West Side. Called Cross Road Travel Park in Perry GA

Have a safe trip all wear your body condoms with ventilator masks when exiting the vehicle.

We are staying put in Florida, and continuing to pay to store our Bambi. I would be too nervous driving up to Maine, afraid of picking up and bringing G*d knows what along the way. Don't know when we will head north, and also don't know what the "all clear" sign will look like either.

Recommend Veterans Memorial State Park aka Lake Blackshear near Cordele. Had an e-mail from them yesterday stating that their campground is open.

Very interesting question about the use of the term Snow-Bird.
When one chooses to spend many months at a different place of residence, When does returning to a primary residence become essential?

Not looking to create a huge banter here, but thought it raises an interesting question.

there are thousands upon thousands facing this predicament.

We've been using Dyrt to track as well.

One way to look at it is, where do you pay taxes? If you pay taxes to a certain state I'm sure they will consider travel there to be essential.

There is also a tax classification called "itinerant" which means you have no home or domicile. Not sure what a travel ban means for itinerants, and how it would be enforced.

That sounds like a joke! LOL!! Who on earth would be so desperate as to steal rest area toilet paper?? That stuff is like sand paper: not only rough, but non-absorbent!
