Last year, we stayed at the KOA in Middlebury. Typical KOA facilities in Amish country. Also, delicious "Amish Thresher Dinners" at many area restaurants. We especially enjoyed the buffet at the Essenhaus (several times).

Amish Buffet & Restaurant. Surprise! -- "Thresher Dinners" are American food! Great food and service at reasonable prices! Fried chicken, roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, and fresh vegetables are homemade, just like Grandma used to make! After eating, visit bakery and select treats to enjoy later. TIP: Come early or late to avoid busloads of hungry tourists!

Gravel interior roads and parking pads. Our site had better spacing than others, but no privacy. Nice activity center for teens and kids (don't get campsite near there). Very secure for visiting Amish country, Elkhart and South Bend areas. Good OTA TV, cell and mobile broadband connections.
Rates: $36.00, electric-only.

Reviews: Mixed reviews. However, this is the better of two KOAs near Elkhart and South Bend, IN.
