Closing member-owned parks to non-members isn't unique to the Airstream-only parks. We're leaseholders at The Ranch, an Escapee co-op, and we're closed to new visitors. Current visitors may stay until the leaseholder wants back in. We've closed the Ranch House to all activities, and all gatherings of more than a couple people are banned. When committees need to meet (as did our Water Committee this morning) we meet outdoors and everyone stand well away from everyone else.

In some cases, closing may be at least in part about protecting vulnerable members from a stream of others who could bring with them this virus.

That would be completely logical and understandable.

Glad you found a place to sit out this storm.

Desperate times demand desperate measures. This too shall pass. Until then, we are staying close to home. Be safe.

This part is not quite right.
Most Airstream parks are "not for profit" organizations.
"Non-profit" organizations is a special classification that is often more trouble then it's worth to comply with.

Jersey Shore Haven Airstream Park (in New Jersey) is currently delaying opening until at least June, due largely to mandatory NJ travel restrictions.

An update for the NJ Airstream Campground, part of a message from NJ governors office.
"All campgrounds are closed and no one is allowed to live there."

We haven't been to Highland Haven in a few years and have only been there that one time. We could not imagine a better park to stay at with the beautiful scenery and the most accommodating host. Hopefully we will be able to visit again soon. Be safe out there!

I am a full timer and fortunate to be on private property due to a job assignment that's lasted 2 yrs. I can not think of a better place to self-isolate than my Airstream especially today while I cook Salmon Chowder and listen to sat radio. The Airstream parks are very nice places to be but they have rules and owners who vote on rule changes. I respect that as a non-owner in any of these parks. Their decisions to exclude visitors is not different that the total closure of all RV parks in Myrtle Beach or New Orleans during this time of concern.

For those who are members of the Wally Byam Airstream Club, I highly recommend you look into members who have overnight sites available on private property. Utilities are not always available but it could be worth your while to investigate the possibilities.

Arkansas available

Arkansas still allows self-contained RVs to camp in its parks. Bathhouses and restrooms are closed. Playgrounds are closed but hiking, biking, fishing, boating remain available to visitors. Generally buildings are closed.

We are now at Top of Georgia respecting social distancing. Jackson and I will be forever grateful in these scary times that they cared enough to take us in. We have 5 sites on either side of us that are not occupied. We feel safe and will stay til whatever it takes. I have read all your comments about why places shutdown. I understand what you are saying. Glad Top of GA stepped up to help fellow Airstreamers. WBCCI will hear from us about the best Airstream Park in the nation that did not close its door in a Pandemic to full-timers.
