Scoped Out Some Beach Parking Today....

Crescent Beach, Florida, just south of St. Augustine. There is about 5 miles of beach you can drive on. Weather was beautiful, hardly anybody there! Coming back with the Airstream for sure!

Oh sure, as we head into our soggy season (called winter on the Canadian Pacific Coast) you send us this. We also have a Crescent beach about fifteen minutes away from our house and standing on the walkway and looking through the rain one can also make out the sand and ocean. At about 40 degrees F it's a tad cool and if you drove your vehicle on it you'd be having to get it back from an impound lot. We don't actually refer to it as rain, we call it high humidity.

Enjoy your stay on the beach. Life must be pretty darned miserable there if you are forced to go and spend time on a sunny, warm, almost empty beach in your Airstream. Does this mean you have not winter-ized it? How can that be? It's November? There can't be some where in the world that doesn't freeze over for four or five months of the year can there?

Pick,

That beach is gorgeous! When you say you can drive on it, can you bring the trailer on it too?

I have before. People bring their motorhomes there, too. Overnight parking is discouraged, but not prohibited, at least not the last time I did it. Just make sure you park above the high-tide line, or you will know what "oceanfront camping" really is!
