Santa Barbara CA to Fallbrook -- Best Route?

Later in November we're going to have to make a move from Santa Barbara, California to Fallbrook and I'm wondering the best way to get around or through L.A. to get there. Any suggestions? We'll be moving on a Sunday and I don't care if we take our time.

The way I've been taking that route is the 101 to the 23, which turns into the 118. Then take 210 east.
I would then take the 57 south to the 71 south, then 91 east to the 15 south. Take your preferred exit off the 15 to get to Fallbrook.
I would say about 4 to 4-1/2 hours. But I drive slow
