Salisbury State Reservation camping?

Want to make reservations at Salisbury State Resv in June on our annual trip up to Canada. For anyone who has stayed there, what area should we shoot for or stay away from. Checked this morning and there are openings but not sure if any areas are better then others so would appreciate help.
Thanks
GreggH

Hi Gregg,

It's a really big campground, very well laid out. If you can get a sight near the water that would be really sweet. Other than that I recommend you try to stay away from the store/rest rooms area as these are pretty busy all the time. Check out the New England Unit "Spring into Camping" thread here on the forums. There are photos of the sites and a few Google Earth views too.

All areas are nice now that the park has upgraded all sites to include water and electrical. I personally prefer to be closer to the ocean, so I generally choose the higher numbers. If you look at their site map, the higher numbers are closer to the ocean. The ocean is right across the street from the highest numbers.

Happy Camping!
You forgot the most important picture (see below).

Warning: watch out for the round concrete sections at each site which sometimes aren't level with the surface of the ground. Stepping half on the cover and half off the cover is how I broke my ankle there last year.
